Normandy Hall ‘Mini Day’ near Scunthorpe

This Sunday, Fathers Day (15th June)
, the Trent Valley Mini Owners Club will be invading Normandy Hall, just north of Scunthorpe for a Mini extravaganza. Around 5000 people are expected to attend!

Amongst the approx 250 Minis that will be on display (50 of which, care of Mini customers of the Astle BMW dealership - arriving in a procession!) will, of course, be the Miracle Drywash stall. Tim and SJ will be demonstrating to the thousands of Mini enthusiasts how easy it is to clean and polish (drywash) your Mini without water.

The poster, specially made for the show,
that
will be displayed on the MDW stall

Also on display will be crafts, static steam engines, motorbikes, show cars and much much more.

A highlight of the day will be the ‘Show & Shine’ competition where votes are cast for the best Mini, with the winner being announced towards the end of the day.

For a bit of fun, there will also be a ‘Water vs Drywash' challenge between two Minis, namely those of Mark Goude, Membership Secretary of the Trent Valley Mini Owners Club, and Peter Towers, their Vice Chairman and Treasurer. Both have agreed to not wash their Minis before the show so they should both be nice and dirty (the Minis, noth their owners that is!). Since MDW both cleans and polishes at the same time, the idea is to see how much longer the traditional water and wax method takes, and therefore, how much time you save by using MDW.
